80s HAIR

Ok my biggest fear(aside of squirrels) is 80s hair making a comeback.Well it looks like its happening.New reports of the newest ahir trends for this summer is the 80s.
"Be a tease this summer with big
                                           80's hair and highlights. Side
                                           ponytails and hair bows are
                                           also making a comeback... "

God fucking forbid, what a nightmare and lets not forget the mens 80s hairstyles which in some cases was bigger than the womens. If the mulet comes back too then im done!!

FEATHER EXTENSIONS......OH MY

So the newest trend for hair is feather extensions, they have been around awhile in so-cal,.These feathers come in short, long, skinny and fat and they can last anywhere from 2-6 months.
They can be washed ,blow-dried,curled and flat-ironed.I must admit I bought some and have been putting them in my friends and clients hair all over town. But because theye are like human hair, the can be costly.I charge $25.00 for 2 feathers but it is alot fun!!
Some of hollywoods celebrities are even sporting them.Jennifer Love Hewitt,Hilary Duff, and the infamous Steven Tyler(only he can pull it off as a guy and not be weird) are wearing these fashionable feathers.

I dont really expect them to stick around long just until the next trend comes along.....GOD forbid its wearing squirrels or squirrel parts in your hair.I wont be buying those thank you.

$800.00 haircut?

You got to be shitting me......Orlando Pita, owner of ORLO SALON,in NYC charges $800.00 for a haircut!!! Really? The average person gets a haircut about every 6-8 weeks.Thats an average of $4,800.00 per client per year. That's not even including a blow dry or style. How do you tip someone who charges sooo much?
Garren of NYC himself charges $705.00,Sally Hershberger of NYC charges $600.00,as does Fredric Fekkai.Cristophe of Beverly hills charges $500.00,as does Jose Eber of Beverly Hills.
The avarege haircut in the US is $45.00,still 2 times more than what I charge.I beleive in quality work at an affordable price.I GUARENTEE my measely $18.00 haircut is just as good as a $800.00 one.I either dont charge enough or I definately live in the wrong city.I guess some people think the more you pay the better the stylist...whatever.......idiots!

SO IT STARTS

Hello,my name is Laura Milo and I have been a licensed cosmotologist for over 20 years.Wow I sound like this is some kind of AA meeting.Actually this is a trial run for a blog I am considering doing. We will see how well its does.
So,there are 3 things that we dont talk about in the salon as a general rule.1.RELIGION, 2.POLOTICS, 3.SEX.Um yea .....NOT.I will be talking about those and more. This blog is mainly geared towards fashion hair but I am open to anything.Your opinions, morals values etc.. are welcome.
If you know me already, then you know I speak whatts on my mind.I dont have time to bull-shit around,so if you ask me a question,be prepared for the answer even if you dont like it.
Ok so why is it in todays world hair is sooo TABOO on every part of the body except the head? its like people think its gross.Women( and men) wax.shave,etc....their arms,legs,chests,and.......but ontop of their head having thick, full, healthy, beautiful hair is such a good thing. Some men even go hairless there.........weird.I'm just saying.
WELCOME TO THE 1HEADHONCHO lets talk some shit!!
